BioShock’s architect Ken Levine posted some of those baddies in company’s official blog.

Some of the rejected baddies were much more striking than the splicers that we saw in final game.

The HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition netbbok is the perfect combination of technology and fashion as it is designed collectively by technology giant HP and well-known fashion designer Vivienne Tam.

The HP Mini 210, which is going to hit stores in Singapore next month, is targeting females with its lovely butterfly design on the cover.

The 1.2-kg stylish netbook is less than one inch in thickness. It was first made public at the New York Fashion Week in September 2009.

Microsoft Corp's new web browser Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) will not run on Windows XP, which will make users to upgrade to Windows Vista or Windows 7.

Speaking on the topic, a spokesperson for Microsoft said, "IE9 requires the modern graphics and security underpinnings that have come since 2001.”

The statement clearly indicated towards XP that appeared that year.

Web browser Opera announced on Thursday that downloads of its browser jumped to more than double after Microsoft Corp. provided its users with a choice of Web software.

Five has announced that it would launch HD channel on Sky this summer, just a few days after the UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom declared that Five would not be able to appear on Freeview HD until 2012.

Five HD has become the 42nd channel to join Sky's HD array. Sky will start showing Five HD in July this year. It has plans to show popular American programs such as CSI.

Earlier, Ofcom rejected channel Five’s request to allow it to launch an HD channel on Freeview this year because it could not manage to fulfill 'key criteria' to keep its slot.

TalkTalk to move employees from PCs to MacBooks

British broadband provider TalkTalk has announced its plans to switch its entire workforce from desktop PCs to Apple MacBooks.

The plan is under the trial stage. TalkTalk, which also offer home phone service, has confirmed that 150 of its 1,500 UK employees have already been moved to Apple MacBooks.

The move represents the increasing popularity of Apple’s products at homes.

The UK broadcasting regulator Ofcom has rejected channel Five’s request to allow it to launch an HD channel on Freeview this year as it could not fulfill 'key criteria' to keep its slot.

Ofcom said that it would not be reserving an HD slot for Channel Five as it could not provide the regulator with a launch date and other important information.

The slot has now been handed over to the BBC which already possesses an HD channel on Freeview.

Sony Ericsson’s X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro will likely be released by June this year.

Reports from Digitimes suggested that Foxconn, the manufacturer of X10 Mini and X10 Mini Pro, would ship the sister phones to Sony Ericsson’s warehouses soon.

Foxconn is developing the X10 Mini and X10 Mini in Asia for the European markets.

Users of the two phones will be able to see text messages, missed calls and Twitter updates at a glance, means there will be no need to open a lot of different applications.

Japan’s PC-maker Sony has released its new Vaio M Series mini-notebook that would reportedly cost much less than similar Sony models.

Sony’s Vaio M Series mini-notebook is a 10.1-inch LED backlight display, with dimensions of 18.3 x 3.3 x 26.8 cm. It has a 1.66GHz Intel Atom processor, with 1GB of DDR2 RAM and a 250GB hard drive.

The Vaio M, which is preloaded with Windows 7 Starter Edition, is easy to carry as it is just 1.3kg in weight.

Sky has purchased 15000 3D TV screens from LG to install them at public venues across the UK to show weekly Premier League matches.

Sky is going to launch its new 3D channel at the selected pubs and other public places in April. The service will be expanded to Sky's top tier TV customers later this year.

However, it is still unclear which pubs will be selected for installing 3D TV screens.

Those who want to view the match in 3D will have to wear the polarizing glasses, which could be headache for many.

British network provider Virgin Media is using telegraph poles to deliver high-speed broadband to areas where digging trenches to lay the cable underground is difficult.

FCC reveals new broadband plan

The US Federal Communications Commission has released country’s first national broadband plan that aim at providing American with the fastest and most extensive wireless network in the world.

The plan aims at assuring that at least 100 million homes have affordable access to broadband networks by 2020.

The access to broadband network will allow users to download data from Internet at speeds of at least 100Mbps, about 25 times faster than the current average.
