Spotify integrates with social networking sites

Online music service Spotify released a version 0.4.3 on Tuesday that contained a bunch of features which integrates the service with social networking sites Facebook and Twitter.

Now, user can connect to their Facebook and Twitter account from within Spotify and share playlists of tracks and popular artists with friends.

The newly released features also allow users to create and publish their Spotify profiles on the web, import ‘friends' and live the social dream via Spotify.

The move will challenge Apple’s iTunes service as Spotify aims to allure more users to use, manage and stream its library of music.

The new features are made available to both, free as well as premium users. Spotify, which was launched in October 2008, has around seven million users worldwide.
