NHS Blamed to have Let Down Jade Goody

UK reality TV star Jade Goody's doctor in a TV special to air on Sunday (GMT) claimed that her death occurred after being let down by "incompetent and negligent" National Health Service (NHS) staff.

Dr. Ann Coxon condemned medics who allegedly examined Jade when her tumor was the size of a Tangerine, however, missed it, The Sunday reported.

In addition, they are accused that they failed to realize her symptoms - which Dr. Coxon said were "glaringly obvious" as pointed to cervical cancer.

Moreover, it is reported that NHS staff also failed to discover why Jade was not turning up for the cervical smear tests which would have diagnosed the killer tumor.

Harley Street consultant and former NHS doctor Ann quoted, "Her symptoms - which included heavy and irregular bleeding, pain and abnormal smear tests - can all indicate cancer. There should have been alarm bells ringing".

But after years of abnormal smear tests, a bowel cancer scare, a miscarriage and abdominal pain, the Big Brother star eventually undertook ultrasound at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow, Essex, in August 2008 - just before she went to India to star in a reality show.
