Both of Lenovo’s new ThinkPad X100e and the ThinkPad Edge are equipped with typical ThinkPad characteristic, the TrackPoint, which is a small red nub in the middle of the keyboard that allows its user to move the cursor in the desired direction.
The ThinkPad X100e comes with 11.6-inch screen and weighs 3.3 pounds as compared with the ThinkPad Edge, which has 13.3-inch screen and weighs 3.6 pounds with its base battery.
The ThinkPad X100e offers 1.6 GHz AMD Athlon Neo processor, ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics, 2 GB of RAM and a 5400 RPM 250GB hard disk.
The ThinkPad Edge is equipped with 1.6 GHz Turion dual-core processor, 2GB of memory and 250GB of storage.
Both, the ThinkPad X100e and the ThinkPad Edge, runs Windows 7 fine, and handled well a number of trendy software such as Microsoft Office, iTunes, Firefox and Adobe Reader.
The ThinkPad X100e comes with a starting price of $499, while the ThinkPad Edge starts at $579.
