Citrix Systems has announced its XenApp 6, which is designed to deliver applications on demand to physical or virtual desktops.

XenApp 6 comes with new features that simplifies management and improve the user experience.

The company claimed that XenApp 6 could scale up to 100,000 concurrent users in a single server farm.

XenApp 6 also offers improved HDX technology that will deliver CD-quality audio and support more USB devices including webcams, scanners and microphones.

Android-based smartphones and Macs have been added to the list of gadgets that are now compatible with Citrix's Receiver client.

Its integration with Citrix's Dazzle will allow users to choose the application when they want them and that too without seeking action by support staff.

XenApp 6 will be released on March 24, 2010.
