Photographing fireworks with cellphone cameras

With the mesmerizing fireworks' show being the best part of the Fourth of July celebrations in the US, using cellphones cameras to click the pictures of the fireworks is by far the easiest way to capture memorable fireworks moments, provided, of course, that cellphones users keep some important points in mind while taking pictures.

Since the cameras of smartphones have become effective and powerful enough to prompt users to dump their consumer grade cameras, the somewhat tricky night-time and motion photography with cellphone cameras can also be perfected with the help of a few useful guidelines.

The first and foremost thing to be kept in mind while photographing fireworks is to select a location which gives a good view of the fireworks. For picture clarity, it is essential to ensure that the auto focus is not too close to foreground objects such as crowds, trees, and buildings.

For clicking pictures of the fireworks, there is no need of the flash, so it should be turned off. Moreover, to enhance the firework-photography experience and improve the photos, cellphone users can also use the camera apps which are available for the iPhone and the Android-based handsets.

Meanwhile, some other things to be kept in mind while photographing the fireworks show include: stay still while clicking, so as to avoid the pictures becoming blurry; clean out the cellphone's memory card beforehand; and shoot all the pictures first and then edit them later!
