A report has been released this Thursday by Se. Tom Coburn alleging the National Science Foundation for putting to misuse about 1.24 billion of the money paid by the common man as taxes.
He has acknowledged and appreciated the importance of scientific studies since he himself is a patient of cancer who has survived twice owing to such researches but he believes that the National Science Foundation has failed to appreciate and stick to its actual vision and engaged in misconduct and wrongly decided and placed its priorities.
In the 73 page long report, the U. S. Senator has openly condemned a number of research works by the NSF like studies worth $80,000 and $315,000 on issues regarding the same team governing the March Madness and research works advising Facebook users that playing Farmville facilitates relationships etc.
He also emphasized on the fact that there have been replication in the work etc of the NSF and certain governmental organizations like the Department of Education. He also accused the NSF for plainly reserving funds worth $1.7 billion and not putting them into any useful development work.
