'Bin Laden' Google Searches Up 1 Million Percent Sunday Evening

The hottest topic all over the world is the death of the terrorist, Osama bin Laden. This news has made every one surprise, including the teens who want to know who he is. On Sunday in the Yahoo the searches for Osama bin Laden raised up to 100%. It was found that out of the total searches, 25% of them were the people were below 24 years age.

The rise in the search was after the announcement of U. S. President Barack Obama that the al-Qaida leader has been killed by the U. S. He was the masterminded person who was involved in the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the U. S.

However “Who is Osama bin Laden?” is the fifth most popular related search on the internet. The search done by the children between the age 13 and 17 contributed 66% of the total search.

Yahoo spokeswoman Carolyn Clark has said that the individual users and their searches were completely unknown. But the demographic and geographic data comes from their registered users. The information about the location and age range is shown when the user sign up for a Yahoo account.
