Acer launches dual OS-based 10.1-inch netbook

Renowned computer manufacturer Acer has come up with a new 10.1-inch netbook, called the Aspire One Happy.

Equipped with the latest Intel Atom dual-core Atom N550 processor, the Aspire One Happy comes pre-installed with two operating systems viz. the Android and Windows 7.

Striking features of the 1.25kg-netbook include Intel's Graphics Media Accelerator 3150, a multi-in-one card reader, 250GB of storage. The WSVGA high-brightness display of the 24mm thin device features aspect ratio of 16:9.

In addition, the devise has a multi-gesture touchpad, built-in microphone, webcam and a 93 per cent full-sized keyboard.

Chris Osborne, Acer's Product Manager for Consumer Notebooks, said that the launch of the new netbook in the month of November is perfectly timed.

Commenting on the netbook, Osborne said, “It's just in time for the Christmas season, and would make the perfect gift for a loved one."

The new Aspire netbook can be chosen from a range of four colours viz. Green, Pink, Purple and Hawaii Blue.

The Acer Aspire One Happy has been priced at $499.
