Legionnaires’ Outbreak Slows Down

Many patients, who suffered from the fatal Legionnaires disease, have announced that they still have many unanswered questions. The sudden spread of the disease has resulted in 22 confirmed cases and two fatalities.

The two persons who have passed away due to the dreaded legionnaire’s disease are, Ben Morgan a 49 year-old man and another 85 year old man, whose name has not yet been disclosed. Both the men died due to the outbreak of the disease.

However, despite the number of people, who have been affected by the Legionnaires, the investigation team that was looking into the reason of the disease has stated that the outbreak has stopped. The statement by the outbreak control team has come after there were no reports of the disease in the area linked to the outbreak after the 10th of September.

The head of the outbreak control team, Dr. Gwen Lowe while talking about the disease has stated that the team had looked deeply into the situation and has traced all the links related to the outbreak. She added that the control team had taken all the necessary steps for containing the disease.

She further informed that the investigations conducted by the team have shed light on many sources for the outbreak of the disease. However, Dr. Lowe did mention that all the necessary precautions have already been taken by the team.
